Have you ever had an issue with your home’s front stairways settling or sinking? If so, you know how concerning it can be. In this case study, we look at how a homeowner in Abbotsford found a solution to help repair two front concrete stairways on their property with PolyLevel and Push Piers.
After doing some research, he realized he needed professional help to assess the damage and repair it properly. That’s when he contacted True Level Concrete for help.
THE PROCESS
We completed a thorough inspection of the homeowner’s property to determine what repairs would be necessary to level out the concrete stairways. We came to the conclusion that PolyLevel foam injection was needed to be combined with Push Piers to raise the sinking sections of the stairs back into place and support them permanently. This combination allowed for a quick yet effective repair process with minimal disruption for the homeowner.
We started working on installing the Push Piers under the staircase. To do this, they needed to dig down deep into the soil and determine how many piers were needed to lift the affected area. Oncethe two Pursh Piers were in place, our team began lifting and stabilizing the staircase.
PolyLevel was installed next in order to fill voids that remained underneath after installation of the Push Piers. This would ensure that no further foundation settlement would occur and that everything stayed level throughout time.
This homeowner now has peace of mind knowing that his home is structurally secure for years to come!
“I could not have been more pleasantly surprised with the outcome. I phoned them to organize a date. They were out within a week. The job took less than a day from start to finish. The cracks have all been repaired; water drainage is now correctly angled away from the house, all connections to the house are caulked and sealed. All aspects of the job were finished either to or beyond my expectations”, shared the homeowner in his five star review.
