Before our crew began, the concrete slab under the front steps was sunken, causing a step down and a huge gap from the adjacent sidewalk.
PolyLevel foam is an ideal quick fix for concrete slabs that are settling or sinking. To begin, our crew assessed where the PolyLevel needed to be injected in order to provide the best support. Then they marked the concrete and set up the PolyLevel injection ports.
PolyLevel Foam works by creating small holes through the concrete slabs and then injecting the lightweight foam beneath the slabs. This foam expands when it is injected into the ground and soon begins to cure, forming a tough, evenly distributed cushion. This helps lift sunken areas of concrete back up to their original elevation level and ensures stability.
PolyLevel also helps prevent future concrete shifting from occurring as the gaps within the soil particles get filled. This helps reinforce any weaker soils beneath concrete slabs.
Our crew administered the PolyLevel carefully and strategically to ensure that all areas of the concrete slab were lifted and levelled to meet the adjacent sidewalk and provide support for the front steps. We also added PolyLevel along the side walkway to provide support and fill in the large voids underneath the slabs.
For the final touch, our team did some fabulous crack repair. This filled in any gaps or tripping hazards within the concrete slabs and create a seamless, smooth surface. The entire repair process took our crew just under 3 hours from start to finish. The results: a ready-to-use entry and walkway.
