Our latest residential project brought us to this home in Coquitlam for Aggregate Driveway & Front Steps Repair. 

This home had received previous concrete repair on the front steps but within the last decade, and due to changing weather, the driveway & front steps had re-settled.

Now, this homeowner in Coquitlam, had issues with:

• Sunken concrete
• Cracked and broken concrete
• Gap under the concrete stairs
• Trip hazards on driveways and walkways, as well as garage

As the sun comes out, the last thing this homeowner wants to deal with is costly or invasive projects to remove and replace their concrete surface area.

THE Concrete Repair PROCESS

We used PolyLevel foam to lift, level, and stabilize the concrete.

PolyLevel is a lightweight liquid solution that gets injected under the slabs as a liquid, and then expands into a high-density foam. It is a hydrophobic foam that will not wash out or allow water to invade and its high density allows for it to lift, support, and stabilize extremely heavy loads. It’s an environmentally friendly material that will not degrade over time.

This was the perfect solution for this project.

Step by step

1. First, our crew assessed the project, removed previous concrete patches or debris, and then marked off certain areas to prepare for ports.
2. Then, our crew drilled and installed evenly spaced injection ports into the slabs.
3. Using PolyLevel mechanisms, our team then carefully injected the foam beneath the slabs.
4. Monitoring the PolyLevel, our crew carefully lifted each slab back to level as well as aligned them with one another.
5. Once the surface was level and free of trip hazards, our crew started prepping for crack repair.
6. Our team sealed the cracks, as well as the gaps around the stairs, and used matching aggregate to blend.
